Privacy & data
Plain-language notes on sign-in, billing, AI explainers, and analytics — so you know what leaves your browser and what we store for your account.
When you are signed in, we store your business structure, postcode, activity tags, and obligation checklist so your progress syncs across sessions. We do not collect NI numbers, UTRs, or company secrets. Every obligation links to an official government or regulator source — including sites such as europa.eu, gov.gr, existenzgruender.de, service-public.fr, business.gov.nl and GOV.UK — and many more official sites. The app provides guidance, not legal advice.
Clerk handles sign-in, sessions, and account identity. We link your account to your compliance profile, reminders, and subscription plan.
AI suggests activity tags from your business description and explains matched obligations using only human-reviewed catalogue data. It never invents new licence requirements.
Stripe stores payment methods and subscription state. Webhooks keep your plan status up to date. No card numbers are stored in our application database.
Signed-in accounts store profiles, checklist progress, subscription status, and usage counters in our database so your data is available whenever you return.
Theme preferences and anonymous preview counters may be stored in your browser. Clearing browser data removes those local entries.
Optional product analytics (PostHog) respects cookie consent and avoids capturing sensitive checklist content by default.
